Our company THT Polička, s.r.o. in cooperation with our German business partner and the representative of TATRA TRUCKS in Germany, Metallbau & Fahrzeughandel Friedrich GmbH & Co. KG, began delivering the first of 46 vehicles to German volunteer firefighters designated for forest fire fighting in February this year.
The whole project started with a successful bid in a tender for special fire trucks for two German federal states (Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) in the second quarter of 2020. After clarifying all the detailed technical information and the total number of Water Tenders, our business partner concluded a contract with the contracting authority for the delivery of 46 vehicles. After less than 10 months, the first prototype of the vehicle was produced and delivered to the LSTE test facility in Borkheide, Germany, where compliance with the tender documentation was assessed in all details.
The first complete vehicle from the series of forty-six Water Tenders left our production line in September 2021 and in October 2021 it was presented at the Florian exhibition in Dresden.
We are pleased with this order and our significant contribution to its implementation. We thank all our business partners and supporters who have been and are with us throughout this difficult and complicated period and wish them a lot of strength in other joint projects.
